Blue Skies In, Gray Skies Out
One of the biggest things I learned from my eczema journey was to find balance in my life. My doctor taught me that when I let negative emotions take over my life, my body responded by having an eczema flareup. I learned to cope with the ups and downs of life with a more accepting attitude. More importantly, I gradually learned to be comfortable with myself. I saw a direct correlation between my growing confidence and my eczema healing. Some of the strategies I used to manage my reaction to adversity included meditation, finding time every day to do things that made me happy (like listening to my favorite music or going out for a run), and writing in my journal. The saying “Blue skies in, gray skies out” became my motto for life and I remind myself of it to this day.
